Candle Care
At Clean Candle Collective, every candle is hand-poured in small batches using premium coconut soy wax, eco-friendly wicks, and phthalate-free fragrance oils. Following these simple candle care guidelines will help ensure a clean, safe, and long-lasting burn.
Before Each Burn
• Trim all wicks to 1/4" before lighting.
• Remove any wick trimmings or debris from the wax surface.
• Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, vents, fans, children, and pets.
First Burn Matters
The first burn helps establish an even melt pool and prevents tunneling.
• Allow the wax to melt completely to the edges of the vessel during the first burn.
• For our Triple Wick Candles, this typically takes 2–4 hours.
• Avoid extinguishing the candle before a full melt pool has formed.
During Use
• Burn candles for no more than 4 hours at a time.
• Keep wicks centered and trimmed before each burn.
• Never move a candle while it is lit or while the wax is still liquid.
• Discontinue use if the flame becomes excessively high or begins to flicker heavily.
When to Stop Burning
For safety, discontinue use when approximately 1/2" of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.
Burning a candle beyond this point may cause the container to overheat and could damage surfaces.
Extinguishing Your Candle
For the cleanest experience:
• Use a candle snuffer whenever possible.
• Avoid blowing directly on the flame, which may cause smoke or wax splatter.
• Allow the candle to cool completely before relighting.
Candle Safety
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Always keep burning candles:
• Away from curtains and flammable materials
• Out of reach of children and pets
• On a level, heat-resistant surface
• Away from drafts and open windows
